Folded Paperboard Trays
Clean, printable trays that stage each item on the reveal, so the first thing a customer sees looks intentional.
We die-cut and crease folding boxboard into trays and platforms that seat your products in shaped wells and fold flat for shipping. The surface takes full-color print, so the insert carries your brand as well as your goods. Recyclable, lightweight, and cut to ±0.5 mm for crisp folds and a precise fit inside your box.

Overview
The insert your customer actually sees first
Folded paperboard trays are the insert that does double duty: they hold the product and they carry the brand. Where foam and corrugate work out of sight, a printed paperboard tray is the surface a customer looks at the moment the lid comes off. We die-cut folding boxboard, add precise creases, and fold it into a tray with shaped wells that seat each item exactly where you want it on the reveal. The result is a clean, retail-grade platform that turns an ordinary box into a considered unboxing, whether it sits on a shelf under fluorescent light or arrives on a doorstep as part of a subscription.
Why it beats the commodity version
A loose product rolling around in a padded mailer tells a customer nothing about the brand except that no one thought about the moment of opening. A fitted, printed tray tells them the opposite. Because the tray is engineered to your product and your box, each item has a defined home, so nothing shifts, nothing looks like an afterthought, and the whole presentation reads as intentional. Paperboard also prints beautifully. It takes offset and digital color, foil, emboss, and soft-touch coatings, so the insert can match your outer packaging and extend the brand inward. And it is a single recyclable material, which matters to customers who notice plastic clamshells and blister packs.
Fabrication and durability
Trays live or die on their creases. We hold the die-cut and crease geometry to ±0.5 mm so the walls fold square, the wells hold their shape, and the tray drops into the box without buckling. For heavier assortments we laminate the paperboard to a corrugated base, combining a printable top face with the crush resistance of fluted board underneath. Board caliper is chosen for the load: a lighter 18 pt stock is right for small, light goods, while a heavier 24 to 28 pt or a laminated build supports fuller trays and repeated retail handling. The trays ship and store flat, then set up quickly by hand or on a line, so they add presentation without adding warehouse volume.
Typical order scenarios
A skincare brand orders a printed three-well tray that stages a cleanser, a serum, and a cream in a rigid gift box. A subscription company runs a monthly tray that changes with each curated assortment while keeping a consistent branded frame. A specialty-food maker uses a coated tray to present a tasting set on a retail shelf and protect it in the mailer. Whether you need twenty-five trays to prototype an unboxing or thousands for a recurring program, folded paperboard delivers the lowest-friction way to make a box feel premium. Send your product list and box dimensions and we will return a printed design proof, usually within one business day.
